Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) offered an exploration into the reasons why people give, with a focus on giving by the Black community. Earlier this year, CFW released a report that explored giving by communities of color.

CFW partnered with BECOME: Center for Community Engagement and Social Change to conduct a formative evaluation to determine what drives philanthropic giving and volunteer time among women/communities of color and how to engage, expand, and sustain giving more deeply.

It was an honor to join Sharon Bush, Jessyca Dudley, Dominica McBride, PhD, Felicia Davis, and Dr. Patricia Carey in sharing about our personal and professional philanthropy as well as perceptions of giving in the Black community.
