I am incredibly grateful to have been selected for the 2012 Emerging Leaders International Fellows Program & US Diversity Fellowship. While in residence with emerging grantmakers from Brazil and Kenya, I expanded my research on community foundations and deepened my expertise in community philanthropy and giving circles.

My final research paper,  The Value of Giving Circles in the Evolution of Community Philanthropy: How Community-Based Philanthropy Can Be Strengthened by Forging a Bond Between Community Foundations and Black Giving Circles in the United States is now available from the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.
